"Looking back from the history with war record, parties of both sides and multiple sides involved in engagements are literally conducted in various forms of "asymmetrical" approaches. It could be in terms of various factors such as force, time, spece, and technology that form the aymmetrial status among parties with hostilities. In other words, the asymmetric warfare in the battlefield is not only for the relatively inferior force taking an approach to evade the superior adversary yet striking the weakness but also for the relatively superior side to decisively defeat the adversary with its advantageous leverages. Although the "asymmetrical warfare" is a term coined by the United States Armed Forces, yet, all the concepts and contents involved in it have already appeared by various oriental and occidental military theoretical texts such as "The Art of War" written by Sun-Tzu clearly noted that the ratio between our strength and opponent strength should be "Based on experience , If you have ten times the enemy's strength, envelop and destroy the enemy at will. If you have five times the enemy's strength, attack and destory the enemy fiercely. If you have double enemy's strength, divide and destroy the enemy. If the enemy's strength is equal, you can fight against it. If your strength is less than the enemy's, you will take defensive posture If the enemy is strong enough , avoid him""--Back cover.
